We wish you were here One year has passed. It was a day never to be forgotten I heard someone say You had gone away. The pain is the same, A wound that is still open. Days go by There is no sound coming from me. It gets worse some days. I feel sick and weak from it. This is too much for me. I just sit here and cry. I have shut the door to my private life Keep everyone out, I put myself in a box. No matter how hard they try, I won't give in. I knew you would be there for me, True, strong, and faithful. How much value does my life have Why do I miss you so much now? You raised me as your firstborn, He's daddy's little boy I chose my own path However, I was still a part of your world Although I wasn't the best, I am guilty of neglect, You know, my dearest Daddy, There was a lot of respect between us. My love for you has never wavered, A star in my father's eyes. I am now in pain As a distant worshiper. My love for you has grown Back then, I did the same thing. Hope all goes well... The day will come I look forward to seeing you again. You are an inspiration to me, In the end, he remained brave and strong. If someone asks you, "How are you?" you respond, "Good." Pretending is unnecessary. Don't forget those who went before you, as the whole family loves and misses you so much. I will always love you! -Angelo Dedil

JOMALIG, QUEZON PROVINCE

The province of the Philippines is home to Jomalig Island. The root word for Humalig is Humalig. Its beautiful sands and clear blue water make this island a great place to relax. From Real, Quezon, Ungos Port is the furthest island municipality of the Quezon Province, which requires a 4-6 hour boat ride.
After travelling for several hours from Metro Manila, my friends and I visited this golden paradise in 2018. Jomaligins give us a warm welcome to their place where you can choose to rent a cottage or bring your tent. Camping would be a good experience.
HOW TO REACH JOMALIG

Using private or public transportation, you can reach the island of Omalig. The land transportation is until Ungos Port in Real. The best way to go there is to rent a car going to the port for less hassle. If you want to bring your vehicle, you may keep it with the car watcher, they will charge you 300-500 a day.
Ways to go there:
The fare is Php230 (air-conditioned) on the Raymond Transportation bus headed to Infanta via Ungos from Metro Manila. The bus terminal is located at Sta.Teresita cor Legarda, Sampaloc, Manila. Daily trips to Infanta via NGOs are at 11:30 PM and 1:00 AM. Travel time is 4-5 hours depending on the road traffic condition. Another option is by van located just walking distance from the bus terminal for Php220.
Then take a boat to Jomalig from Ungos Port. Php10 is the terminal fee. Php400 is the fare for boat trips at 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, and 10:00 AM daily. Boat speed and weather determine the sailing time. I have found that the weather can cause us to travel 9 hours.
After landing in Jomalig, catch a habal-habal to your resort. Based on distance, the fare is between Php50 and Php100. If you need to buy something, the rider can bring you to the market.

WHERE TO STAY
- Bahay Kubo (max of 5 people) – Php500/night
- Bahay Kubo (max of 15 people) – Php1000/night
- Tent Pitching (own tent) – Php150/night

You may bring your own tent but you need to pay Php50 or rent a tent around Php300 pesos per day.

WHERE TO EAT
We cook our food or you can buy your fresh fish from the locals or go to the local market. For less hassle, you can ask the resort to cook them for you. if you did not bring your camping equipment.
